Mechanical Engineer – Research and Development Group
Summary:
The position entails creation of revolutionary, innovative products in the emerging field of construction 3D printing. We are looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer who will be designing, prototyping, fabricating, and testing cutting-edge electro-mechanical inventions.
Essential Job Functions:

Explore/materialize new ideas and inventions to meet overall system design specifications.

Take ownership of assigned systems/components.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and building electro-mechanical systems and working effectively within new product introduction processes.

Familiarity with electronics schematics and technical drawings.
-
Expertise in using CAD modeling tools. FEA experience is a plus.

Ability to manage changing priorities and ambiguity, while remaining calm, controlled and professional.

Understand and conform to relevant safety standards.

Be deadline oriented.

Integrity, motivation and teamwork spirit in a startup environment.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experienced in use of shop tools such as lathes, mills, CNC tools, etc.

Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
