Mechanical Engineer – Research and Development Group

 

Summary:

The position entails creation of revolutionary, innovative products in the emerging field of construction 3D printing. We are looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer who will be designing, prototyping, fabricating, and testing cutting-edge electro-mechanical inventions.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Explore/materialize new ideas and inventions to meet overall system design specifications.

  • Take ownership of assigned systems/components.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and building electro-mechanical systems and working effectively within new product introduction processes.

  • Familiarity with electronics schematics and technical drawings.

  • Expertise in using CAD modeling tools. FEA experience is a plus.

  • Ability to manage changing priorities and ambiguity, while remaining calm, controlled and professional.

  • Understand and conform to relevant safety standards.

  • Be deadline oriented.

  • Integrity, motivation and teamwork spirit in a startup environment.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in use of shop tools such as lathes, mills, CNC tools, etc. 

  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
